Yay for quick finished objects! This is a bib, loosely based on the Baby Bib O’ Love pattern found in the Mason Dixon Knitting Book. I used part of the spaced invader chart from the bmp sock pattern in the current knitty. I should have decreased some stitches after the bottom border and increased again before the top border, but I didn’t, so it curls a bit. Hopefully some trips through the washer, which it will inevitably get, will help the curling to ease a little bit. The nice thing is that it will do the job and the kiddo won’t notice the curling. And, it’s a fun tribute to our childhoods. Now to find a button to go on it…I guess it’s only almost finished until that happens.
The bib is such a great idea. I love seeing kids in black!
I love it!!! It’s so perfect.
And, belly pic? 🙂
Brilliant idea! I have to knit a lot of baby gifts right now, putting off making the socks. It never occured to me to do both! Thanks!
