I’m trying to think of a creative way to say that I am SO excited about Maryland S$W, but I think the excitement has been mostly expressed amongst the knitters. Because it is my blogging goal to be just like Carrie (okay, I think she’s the greatest, but I’m not quite that obsessed), I dug through some old pictures and found this one…
Three excited girls who will all be at S$W this weekend!
It is nice to get to express my excitement where people understand. This afternoon at work went something like this…
Me: See you on Tuesday!
Co-Worker: Where are you going?
Me: Maryland
Co-Worker: What are you going to do in Maryland?
Me: Well, tommorow, I’m going to get to see a bit of D.C. and then on Saturday I’m going to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
Co-Worker: The what?
If they thought I was strange for flying hundreds of miles to hang out with some sheep, the one person who managed to get it out of me that I’m meeting up with mostly people I’ve never met before probably really thought I had lost it. Oh well, in just a few hours, I will be in the presence of people who understand.
For those of you who aren’t going to make the festival this year, I was right there with you last year. So, I’ll leave you pictures of a the finished purple sweater I’ve been working on for your viewing pleasure.
As for MD S$W, I don’t have a plan, other than meeting as many people as possible, buying as much yarn as possible and having as much fun as humanly possible. With the girls I’ll be hanging with, I don’t think that will be a problem. Hope to see you there!
It was so great to meet you at the festival! 🙂
I’m so mad I didn’t get to spend more time with you all. We got sooooo lost on the way home from dinner that what should have taken 20 minutes took an hour and a half. By then I didn’t dare drive the Maryland highway again.
thanks for the update. It’s almost like being there! And thanks for the spelling help! he he he
