One down, many to go

Bearkat_hat

I started and finished my first Lonesome Skein project this weekend.  It’s become a bit of an obsession because they are all small projects so I get that fun of picking a new project with new yarn and the satisfaction of a finished product all within a few days of each other.  This is the Candy Cane Hat from Handknit Holidays made in the Baby size with Plymouth Dreambaby DK.  It is knit in my alma mater’s school colors for one of the many Bearkat babies that are new or soon to arrive.  I still have plenty of the yarn left over, so I may make another one later in the knitalong.  Otherwise this weekend consisted of lunch with my sister who was in town from Tennessee, spending some time outside, the usual weekend chores, and watching football.  All in all a good weekend, which is good, since this week is bound to be busy!

  1. Oh! I have that book. Handknit Holidays is one of my favs. A friend has many patterns in there, Jolene Treace. I made the Keefely mittens in luscious alpaca. Now to find some yarn to make that hat.
