Surprise, Surprise

More baby stuff!

I know you’re surprised! I’m such a one trick pony right now.  These were made for twins of a co-worker who are due to arrive mid-August.  They were made using the Rainbow Marley pattern from Itty Bitty Hats, but they are neither rainbow or marley.  The rainbow part got left out because I wanted each one to be kind of gender specific – they are having a boy and a girl – and I ran out of time before the shower for the marley (what I call the little curly-q’s that are supposed to be on top).  Luckily, they are cute with or without the curly-q’s!

As for me, I missed out on Maryland this week because I am busy incubating!  Here’s the current state of the beast from our shower last weekend.  They were measuring me for the game where people guess how big around you are.

I am also sporting a new summer and baby-friendly hairdo, which you can see a little better here.

We’re at 32 weeks.  Just 8 weeks of incubating until beast time…not that I’m counting or anything.

  1. You. are. ADORABLE. That haircut is super cute! and look at your belly.
I still remember riding around in our orange beast of a car, talking about having babies….
I’m so happy for you guys!

  2. Continued best wishes for the babe and family. I will have to send you a file with the colorway for baby’s sweater. I actually did it up in 9 colorways to go with the Cascade 220 Superwash colors we have on hand. Once i get going I can’t stop fiddling with the color!

  3. getting close! πŸ™‚
one piece of advice for ya that i wish i had known before the peanut was born.. read some baby books while pregnant! so far i like the baby whisperer books. i was totally winging this parenting thing in the beginning and now i feel like i know a lot more after doing some actual research. duh! πŸ˜‰

  4. Love the haircut. I remember going for a really short one before Gracie was born. Since it’s been rubberband city. Sorry you missed MD. I did too. Maybe next year.

  5. We missed you at the festival.
You look super great, all grown up now! HA HA. Enjoy the next 8 weeks give or take, because they will be your last 8 weeks of sanity, kids….they suck it out of you.
    XOXOXOXOOXOX

  6. Cute hair and cute you! Glad you had fun at your shower – but it would have been fun to have you here for MDSW! Good luck with the next 4-8 weeks and keep us posted!

  7. So.Cute! Look at your fantastic belly!
I’ve also been thinking of taking the hair back to short and carefree, especially since it’s EXACTLY at that miserable length that just lays on the neck and is still to short to be reliably contained in a ponytail. No good for summer OR babies.

  8. *squee!* So close – we need to get together in the next week or two for belly shots! I can’t believe the time is here! And then – newborn photos! YEAH!!!
Email me at christine @ my domain so we can exchange phone numbers and talk and set everything up!
