…or not. I didn’t have to go to work today in anticipation of the ice storm we were supposed to get last night. As it turns out, we really didn’t have any ice, so I went to work for a couple of hours just to get a few things done. I did this to make sure that I don’t get too behind, but also because I was bored! It’s not that there aren’t plenty of tasks that could be done around here, but I’m caught up on all of the pressing ones after having a three day weekend. It now looks like the ice might come tonight and I just don’t know if I can handle another day in the house!
Having the three day weekend did me good in the knitting realm. I made more fun fur hats (and actually got a daylight picture of them, it was cloudy but at least it wasn’t dark)!
Both of these hats were made based on a free pattern from the Lion Brand website, holding one strand of Caron Super Soft acrylic and one strand of Fizz (left) or Fun Fur (right) together. After the first one came out so small, I upped the needle size and added some stitches to make the next one larger. Now, I have a small, medium (the blue one from last week), and large hat to send! These are the product of lots of football watching on Saturday. Novelty yarn is not my favorite thing to knit with, but knowing the purpose makes it worthwhile!
The next time I’m complaining about going to work (love my job, but don’t always love getting up in the morning to go), then remind me of today and the fact that I can’t wait to get back to my regular schedule. I guess I’m kind of a creature of habit!
ice storm? in texas? holy global warming, batgirl.
those hats really crack me up! are you wearing one???
