If my current WIP’s are any indication, it appears that I’m going through a blue period! I’m working the Embossed Leaves Socks in Soft Rock yarn that I bought at Maryland Sheep & Wool last year. I purchased this yarn with the intention of making a patterned sock, and when I saw this pattern I knew it was perfect. It just so happens that some other bloggers have been making these socks, too, confirming my decision. My other WIP is the Virtue cap from "It’s a Tape Thing" in Rowan Cotton Tape. I haven’t done the crochet border yet, just the knitted top. I just bought the crochet hook and hope I can figure out enough crochet again to be able to work the border.
In addition to knitting, I did a 47 mile ride through the hilly Texas pineywoods this weekend. It was tough, but a lot of fun, so we are in major training mode again. This weekend is a 40 miler through Houston, so that should be fun!
Good thesis news to report, the data collection portion of my project is over. Now to the writing!
Congrats on the 47-miler and also on getting all of your data collection done! I know what a steep hill it seems like, but the writing is the (relatively) easy part… you’re almost there!
(Do we get to see a modeled Alice soon?) 🙂
I love that sock in blue!
And congrats on your long ride!
Good news! That is great about the data collection portion being done. It is also great to hear about your ride – that is so impressive!
I love the blues – I made “Virtue” too, and I was quite happy with the way it turned out. There are some great patterns in that book… I have two more planned!
So pretty! I just love those socks. And congratulations on your ride and on moving forward with your thesis.
Way to go. Keep it up! Love the knits. What about Alice?
