Meet the Dangerous Duo, my ball winder and swift! I had the ball winder in my yarn closet for quite some time, but about a year ago, I had lost the little screwy thing (technical term) that goes in the bottom to hold it onto a table. I had looked for a new one in the local hardware stores, but couldn’t find the right size. I was very surprised over my holiday break when I cleaned out my yarn closet and found it!!!
Then, the husband bought me a swift for Christmas to complete the pair! It almost didn’t make it on time, but arrived at his parents’ house the afternoon of Christmas eve. Now I have a little table in my craft room designed for winding yarn. I have resisted the temptation to wind all of it, but I plan to use some of the yarn I have not used simply because it would be too much of a hassle to wind the yarn.
***Ummm…I’m not sure why I didn’t get picked up by bloglines yesterday, but hopefully today’s post will work. So, visit the blog if you missed the Christmas re-cap part 1. 🙂
Hi Sarah,
Just thought I would stop by to see what you have been up to. I received a swift and ball winder for Christmas as well and I thought what a coincidence. I love the aran afghan you are working on. Take Care!
