Go figure that it takes me two weeks to post a Christmas re-cap, but there are some things that are so good, I couldn’t skip over posting about them. This is not surprising considering the fact that I just took down the Christmas tree today.
Almost everything I received for Christmas was craft related. How fun is that? First off, my mother-in-law created something for each woman in her family this year. She made some really beautiful things. Here’s mine…
It’s a big cozy shawl. Not only does it look beautiful on the back of my couch, but it’s also really warm and is perfect for snuggling up on the couch. It ended up on the back of the couch purely by accident, I just laid it there until I put it up. Once I arranged it, I decided it couldn’t live anywhere else.
I also got something that is not intentionally crafty, but I’m using it for crafty purposes.
This basket was from my brother and sister-in-law and came with a poinsettia and other holiday treats inside. It just turns out that it is the perfect size to store my works in progress, while still being easily incorporated into my living room decor. Right now, my afghan and branching out scarf are living inside.
More Christmas re-cap tomorrow!
Sarah, that shawl is just beautiful! I love the yarn used, and it looks really nice over the couch like that too!
