The Wonderful World of Weasleys

This post has been a long time coming!  I took this picture yesterday, but technical difficulties prevented me from posting.  Not to mention the fact that I’ve been working on this for some time now and am just now telling you about it!  This is my Weasley, being knitted with Peruvian Wool from Elann.  It’s great yarn to work with and the price was right!  I’m using bits and pieces of Alison’s Weasley pattern combined with the size guidelines found in the SNB Design Journal.  I’m sketching it all out in the design journal, too, which is really fun.  The back is finished and I should begin the intarsia on the front tonight.  Then I will just have seaming and sleeves ahead of me.  It’s a gift and the goal is to finish it in time to be shipped off and make it to the recipient for the premiere of the newest Harry Potter movie on November 18th.  So far, I think I’m right on track.

While the ‘Stros had a disappointing World Series, I still really enjoyed watching them and am proud of all they accomplished this year.  I am a bit relieved to be able to go back to my regularly scheduled life, as all of the going out to "watch the game" has taken a toll on my yarn fund, not to mention my sleep bank.  Now, to keep knitting while in what I hope will be the downhill stretch of my thesis.

  1. Good luck with the Weasley.
And also with the baseball thing. While I’m not a baseball fan exactly, I do like to go to things where you stay still and beer and peanuts come to you.
