I finished my sock pal socks! After blocking they were so soft, so I can see why people love koigu. It’s hard to photograph these colors, but they are much more pink and red than purple. The purple just seems to catch the camera. I sent them early last week, but my pal hasn’t said anything yet. Hopefully she got them and likes them okay. They aren’t terribly creative, but I tried multiple creative patterns and couldn’t get them to look right without pooling, so a simple pattern was the order of the day. At the end of the day, I did my best and that’s all I can do.
This weekend, I’m going to hang out with my girlfriends from college. This year is 10 years since we met, so we’re going back to school to see how things have changed. Four of the five of us have learned to knit, but I don’t know if they’ve all kept up with it, so I’m bringing my knitting and maybe some extra stuff for others, just in case. Great fun!
Lovely!
Oh my gosh…I hope you had a great weekend with your college gang!
The socks look great, I have some Koigu that I keep meaning to start a pair with…soft like a baby’s but, they say.
oooo, very nice. Lucky sock pal!
