This is one situation in which I’m glad that I don’t have some crazy story for you. On our way home we did see the national guard trucks, all lined up to render aid who those in need.
Now, we’re just working to get life back to "normal". We’ve had to cancel events that were supposed to occur this week and had to spend time putting our house back in order. Gas is finally back in the stations, so that’s one less thing to worry about. As a part of getting life back in order, I wanted to share a couple of pictures I’ve had in the camera for a while now. First up, my secret pal sent me a fabulous final gift!
That’s a wine box, which will yet another perfect home for my needles, some pink novelty yarn, pink wine glasses, a bottle of wine from Virginia (where she’s from), two Creative Knitting magazines, "At My Knits End", and a sheepy tape measure that I have coveted for some time! The wine was spectacular, and gave me a little indulgence throughout the whole hurricane thing. I also really like some of the patterns in the magazines, particularly the baby patterns. Oh, and the card is a little black dress because everyone needs a little black dress! LaDonna was a spectacular pal!
Stay tuned for more catch-up in the next post. Thanks again to all of you for your support and kind words throughout the hurricane scare. I can’t emphasize enough what a learning experience it was for me, and part of what I learned is that there are a lot of people out there who care, and that’s really nice. Have a great week!
So glad everything turned out for the best! Glad you’re home safe.
Echoing Cara—glad you are home safe.
Hope life gets back to normal very soon. Glad that you are safe!
