I love new years. It’s a great time for taking inventory of the past year and starting fresh in a new year. I took a little time this week to take inventory of my yarn and supplies. It was very inspiring. I wish I would have done before and after shots, but I only have an after. Believe me when I tell you that it was chaos before. Here’s what it looks like now.
The top row contains cottons and acrylic, the middle row has my books and magazines, and the third row has wools and my unfinished afghan. The bottom two rows have plastic drawers with misc. craft supplies and magazines that are non-knitting related. In all of this, I gained some inspiration for new projects. Among these projects are socks (I have 5 skeins of Koigu calling me), a Booga Bag (I’ve had the Kureyon for it for quite some time), and a Wavy scarf in purple and pink Cascade 220. I’m feeling very content about destashing for a little while. I’m craving smaller projects and have plenty of yarn for that sort of thing. Oh, and I’ll still be working on finishing my mom’s afghan. The goal is to finish that by the end of the month. I’ll post better pictures of it soon.
What great gifts you made! And finally we get to see the totally awesome Super Secret project! You should be really proud…
That knitting bag is too cute!
I wish I had a closet I could devote entirely to my craft supplies!
So organized! I’m impressed!!!
And I hear you on the “small projects” – I have a few of those lined up, plus a few bigger but quick knits.
Happy New Year!!
I am SO loving your closet and its contents!
