This morning, I’m off to Dallas for two weeks for work. It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend because I just found out Friday afternoon that I was going and I also had a retreat for a student group Friday afternoon and evening. I spent the weekend getting my ducks in a row by doing a little shopping, getting a haircut, catching up on housework and packing all of my essentials (including plenty of knitting to keep me busy). I will be pretty busy but my hotel promises internet access so I will be posting and blog surfing. I won’t have my camera, though, so please excuse the absence of photos in the coming days.
I did get some knitting done this weekend. I’m now halfway through one Christmas present and 10% finished with another. I tried to start a little pumpkin hat from a Fibertrends pattern, but my gauge was off and I didn’t have the patience to keep working with it. Swatch city here I come! Well, I’m off to watch more football. The husband is playing Fantasy Football and I am the official cheerleader! Oh, I am so happy football season has returned!
Hey Sarah, I just recently finished the pumpkin hat myself ( http://kjknits.typepad.com/knits_and_grits/2004/09/its_the_great_p.html” ). I used Cotton Fleece and had to use size 10.5 needles to get the right gauge! Yikes. I am apparently a death-grip knitter. Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot. When you finish I’d love to see photos!
