I had a very low-key weekend which appears to be followed by a busy week. We have plans nearly every night this week. Two nights include Mexican food! 🙂 Luckily, I’m a big fan. Tonight, I’m going out to eat with some girls I know through my husband’s job. Tommorow night, we are filling in for a bowling league for some friends and Thursday we are going out to eat with some friends before they leave to go to China. It should all be fun, but I have a feeling I will be tired by this weekend. It will also cut into my knitting time.
I made some more progress on purple penny last night. I am doing the collar and the bottom in a lighter color of purple and I got to start on the new color. I haven’t gotten far enough into it to decide if I like it for sure. It is likely to take forever since I’m doing the edges on size 3 needles! But, I’m really liking the fabric that it produces and it will probably hold it’s shape well since it’s ribbing on little needles. If I like this as much as I think I’m going to, I see many more of Stef’s top-down raglan style sweaters in my future. Jen just finished a striped one that will be very similar in shape to mine and it’s really cute. Hopefully, purple penny will turn out just as nice. I’ve put most everything else on hold right now in an effort to finish it up, so I can have Audrey and two Christmas presents on the needles. I think until Christmas, I’ll probably have one item for me and two items for other people on the needles. Let’s see if I can stick to that. 🙂
Thanks for the comment on my post. It’s nice to know someone is out there. Forgot to comment on your Penny progress. Can’t wait to see what the edge color looks like.
I love Stef’s TDR pattern – I’ve made four. It’s just so relaxing to knit, and looks great! I can’t wait to see your finished sweater…
