I finished Birch this weekend! YAY! Well, I half finished it, anyway. I was trying to make it like a rectancular wrap because I wanted to wrap it around my shoulders and tie it in the back, with it just being straight across the back. The problem, I hadn’t yet picked out the dress for the wedding I’m in. I found that this weekend, too. But, I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. So, the wrap and the dress just don’t go. I do love Birch though. I’m just not sure if I’m going to leave it as is, or take out the cast on edge and make it into a full triangle. For now, I’m just setting it aside because I don’t have anywhere to wear it anytime soon, anyway. I’ll make a decision once I acquire a wardrobe item to wear it with or have an event to wear it to, any suggestions?
I guess you want to see it, huh? Well, okay… π Here’s Birch on my shoulder.
Here’s Birch on my new Ikea chair, so you can understand it’s size.
Your Birch is beautiful! I can’t really see it in the chair photo, but the close-up is awesome! And your dress is lovely, too — it looks very nice on you. As for suggestions, you could wear Birch to my wedding reception in August… π
Congratulations! I think I’m going to knit that one once I’m finished with Charlotte #2. It is gorgeous and I think it goes nicely with that dress.
You’re making the Alphabet Blanket, too! Woohoo! I’m making it right now for my cousin. I’m done with XYZ. There is a mistake on the “S” though. I’ll go back and figure out which row it’s on for ya. (Rather than making you spend half an hour on one set of 30 stitches!)
Birch looks lovely! I like your black dress, too.
Birch is a lovely shawl to be be. Too bad you couldn’t find a dress to display it in all its glory.
Birch is beautiful! I love it! Can’t wait to see it modeled with the new dress!
