Are you tired of Birch, yet?

I’m not! I’m rather surprised that I’m not due to the trouble I had with it initially. I’m making good progress. I have about four inches completed. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but since you decrease stitches everytime, it should just continue to get faster and faster. I am still getting quicker with the lace, which is good, too. You’re probably tired of looking at it, but here’s my progress so far.

I’m also swatching for my bucket-o-chic and chickami. Two Chicknits patterns at once! đŸ™‚ I’m making the swatch big enough to be an afghan square to send off as part of the swatch swap I’m in, so that I’ll feel like I’m accomplishing something. I’m starting to feel sick, which I’m not excited about. I’ve been fighting it off for about a week and a half now, waking up with a sore throat, but ignoring it. Anyway, I think it’s finally catching up with me, which hopefully means an excuse to sit on the couch and knit. But, with school coming to a close (and all the deadlines piling up) that may mean sitting on the couch doing homework. We’ll see!

  1. After knitting those monster ruffles in KSH for Elfin, I admire every single knitter who has tackled Birch as a project. Gooooooooo, Sarah!
