Quite possibly. 🙂 I am finally getting past some really big school assignments and my wrist isn’t hurting anymore so I’m ready to knit! Well, when I do something, I generally go all the way (oh that sounds bad), so I’m cooking up some new projects. First, I’m going to finish my critter knitters blanket, really, I am. Well, okay, so I may start my next project while still working on it, but it’s still going to be a priority. Then, I’m going to get started on Audrey! The Audrey knit-along starts today and I’m very excited. I thought I wouldn’t be able to wait to start, but I’ve been so busy that it hasn’t been a problem. Finally, I think I’m going to make Birch. Yes, this is where I have lost my mind, but I just love the way it looks. You all can tell me “I told you so” when I’m cussing at the Kidsilk Haze and wondering why I got myself into this, but if I don’t challenge myself, I may never learn. So, this weekend, I’m going to buy the yarn and Rowan book necessary to make Birch to wear as a part of a wedding I’m in this May. I have a month and a half, so hopefully I can get through it in that time period. There are other projects looming and plenty of yarn in the yarn closet that needs to be knitted up, but this is what I’m going to have on my knitting plate for now. Oh, and the No Sweat pants will be my mindless knitting to be picked up when I don’t feel like thinking. I survived my mid-term last night, will turn in a paper tonight and then I have a paper due next Wednesday, as well. I should have this crazy project for one of my classes finished next week, so the light at the end of the tunnel is getting a bit brighter. I’m not out of the woods yet, but I’m getting closer. Thanks for still hangin’ with me even though there isn’t much progress to report.
I find myself saying “Nooooo”, no, you cannot knit it in KidSilk Haze, you will have terrible nightmares :). I have three balls of that stuff slotted for Birch, just swatching with that stuff was enough to turn me off. Cursed yarn! The truth is though, you HAVE toknit Birch with KSH, it just won’t be the same otherwise. Who knows, maybe I’ll join you and knit that crazy shawl too.
Yay! An Audrey knit-a-longer. Gonna be fun knitting it with you 🙂
wow, audrey looks so roman holiday!!!!! it’s gonna look great. hang in there with school. and when you’re sitting at the wedding wearing your birch you can be reminded of the chaos that once was and how you powered through it. woo hooo!!!!!
just have to say I LOVE your new bag! wow! and you’re going to do great on the Audrey….
Good to hear that you’re making it through all your big assignments at school and your wrist is feeling better. Those sweatpants will make great break knitting! What a great idea to challenge yourself by making Birch. It’ll be lovely in a wedding and just think how proud you’ll be when it’s all done!
