Thank you guys for your nice comments and well wishes on our anniversary! I’ll keep you posted on the “cotton” gift-giving front. I’ve dropped plenty of hints, but we’ll see what happens. I don’t have a lot of exciting knitting news to report right now because I have just been wrapping some stuff up. I finished four afghan squares that I owe to some friends (they hit the mailboxes today) and I am almost halfway finished with my first Critter Knitter contribution. I haven’t been home during the daylight to take some pictures, so I apologize for the pictureless post. I’m also hoping to work on some afghan squares for the Mason Dixon Knitalong, maybe this weekend. Otherwise, I’m holding off on major projects until the April 1st cast-on for Audrey. I’ll probably swatch for that this weekend.
In other news, I am definitely in my last semester of grad school classes. I am so tired of school and homework and all the things that come with that. I am just hanging on until May, so if I’m a bit absent-minded at times, just know that my brain has been drained by grad school. I’m seeing a light at the end of a long tunnel now, though.
Has anyone else noticed that they are fairly project driven? I am wondering if it is derived from my project drivenness in knitting or if I like knitting because I’m project driven. For example, while I’m super busy with school, I’m a bit bored with life in general because I just finished the project that has occupied a majority of my time, buying a house. Now I’m looking for a new project and the kid train isn’t coming to our station, yet (sorry mom ;-)), so I hope that more knitting can occupy my need for a project. We’ll see. Maybe fixing up the house a bit more this summer will satisfy my project needs. Any other project driven folks out there with tips?
I think you get that trait from me. I am so into finding a house that it is all I am focusing on. I am sure the house I buy will have some fix-em-ups to it so I can stay focused on it for a long time. Oh, I can be patient as far as grandbabies go but once I find out the maternity train picked you up, I will be most excited!!! Enjoy your time, now, because once the babies start coming I will be bugging you alot I am sure.
Yes, I’m the same way too…. very project oriented. I’ve always been like that.
Just think, before you know it, school will be a distant memory. Hang in there. Every student I know has Spring Fever right now.
