I Just Can’t Get Enough

Oh my goodness! Saturday was a good day! In the midst of packing and working on a group project, I received the new Rowan mag in the mail and I picked up the new Interweave knits. First of all, let me just say that I have never really seen a Rowan mag in person. Sure, I had seen them on the shelves at the lys but I had never really opened it up and gone through it. It is almost worth the purchase just for the pictures and its ability to get my creative juices flowing! But, I will be making Audrey out of Rowan Calmer. I love me some calmer and it will be a good addition to my wardrobe. There are other things in there that I like but I just don’t know if I would actually wear them. So, they may wait for another day or another person who would get some use out of them. As far as Interweave goes, I saw several things that interested me and I think I might just have to join the Pant-along. I think it may just be for the novelty of it alone. My magazine obsession doesn’t stop there. I want to order the Phildar and the new Rebecca. Both of those have some major eyecandy, in a knitting way of course. I am trying to be methodical in my future knitting planning so I’m going to collect magazines this month and then order the yarn for the patterns that I like best. We’ll see how long that lasts!

Okay, if there is one thing I have gotten enough of, it’s moving. I dream about boxes. This weekend I packed my kitchen (who knew we had so many appliances) and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. Remaining we have the bedroom and bathroom to pack. Most of the bedroom is just cleaning it because as usual there are clothes everywhere. We really have to turn over a new leaf on that in the new house. We only have two cabinets in the bathroom, so that should go quickly, too. Moving Day is on Saturday, but the house will officially be “ours” on Thursday. It is very exciting but also very time consuming, so if you don’t hear from me, it’s either because I’m too busy or I’m stuck under a box somewhere and am in need of rescue.

  1. Great, Just great. Now because of you I have to have the new Rowan!! I think you will look great in Audrey! Good luck with your move.

  2. I’m thinking about joining the pant along, too. Though the resizing is scaring me a little bit–I’ve never knit pants before, and I don’t know if I like the idea of chaning the pattern on my first pair. You may have to help me!
