Month of the Magazine

Yay! Summer patterns are here! As most of you know, I live in Houston, where it’s warm/hot 75% of the year, so I am really trying to stock up on patterns for tanks and fun summery items. In that effort, I purchased by very first Rowan Magazine today! I have been knitting for nearly a year and a half and have not yet enjoyed a Rowan Magazine. I really like several of the designs. I am also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Interweave Knits to my area bookstore and can’t wait for the debut of Magknits. The goal now is to work on completing the things I have yarn for so I can buy more yarn once I have all of these patterns in my possession. So, here’s my checklist.

1. Ribby Shell (70% complete)
2. Koigu Socks (not yet started)
3. GSRP Chickami (not yet started)
4. Zoe (25% complete, resurrection from last year)

I think I’ll tackle the ribby shell first because I should be able to finish that quickly, and then I’ll move on to either the socks or chickami. I should work on Zoe while I’m working on easier projects because it’s rather demanding of my brainpower. Mostly, I’m just nervous about having to figure out where I am in the cable pattern to start up again. It should be interesting! Hmmm…now to finish this stuff before I get ancy (sp?) to buy more yarn. Something tells me that’s not going to happen. 🙂

  1. Oh, holy cow, I just saw YOUR new place to be, and I have to admit, your place is a little bigger than my place. Okay, a LOT bigger. Think about all those closets!!!!!!

  2. Yay Rowan, and fun summery knitting patterns. I need some summery yarn but I’m like you…gotta finish the stuff I’m working on first!
