No Knitting

only survival
Well, we made it through another wedding. It really is nothing short of a miracle! We had a snowed in bridesmaid who made it to the wedding just in time to throw her in a dress and walk her down the aisle. There are many other stories that I don’t desire to relive, but there was much excitement and emotion. In the end, it was amazingly beautiful and more importantly it was great to be around friends that truly understand me. Here’s a pic of my husband and I so you can see the dress. Needless to say, the bridesmaids were all pulling the dress up all day!

and planning
Christmas was great and we have more to come. I am in the process of planning for my mom and sister to come and visit us for our Christmas. They’ll be in on January 2nd and I can’t wait. The only bad part about Christmas is that it loses it’s excitement when not enjoyed with kids. It kinda exposed us to the void in our family and gave us an increased desire for kids (also known as baby fever). 🙂 We have a lot of things on our plate right now that need to be set up before we have kids, but we are discussing kids in the next couple of years. Here’s my husband with my best friend’s baby. Who looks more scared?

and cleaning up my act
My hair was beautiful for the wedding. It was somehow ratted and waxed and sculpted into a great updo. However, I could not get the stuff out of my hair! I washed it so many times. Today, I went to the salon in the mall and they washed it four times and it finally all came out. I also got it cut! Pictures soon, but it’s pretty short and I love it. So, now that the madness has subsided, I can knit. I think the first project will be a little hat made out of Rowan Calmer. I only bought one skein just so I can play with it. I’m also going to make my second sock. Do you see a theme? After all of the gift knitting I realized that I only own two things I have made, so for now my knitting is all about me. 🙂

  1. You look gorgeous! I love that dress! Is it copper colored? I’d love to see the whole thing. Really beautiful. Your hair did turn out beautiful. You look fabulous!

  2. Hey! I too have only made one hat for myself (which I am still thinking about giving away). Let’s make a pact to knit for ourselves–that’s one of my new years’ resolutions for 2004! We can do it!
Sorry it was so hard to get your hair back to normal. I guess you know a Hollywood secret now!
    Happy new year…
